For those wondering who the dual-pupil lady is:
The author like to make some of the characters in the novel nameless and mysterious, she isnt given a name, just like the Fox Lady, who is often called The Witch.
What is known about her is that she is from an ancient time, the world/universe has undergoing many cycle/eras, and she is from one of the earliest, she is very very powerful, at the Immortal King cultivation level, she cant show her true strength because when someone from the upper realm descends to the lower realm, there are restrictions

The only thing I can tell you is that Shi Hao saves her when she is imprisoned towards the late part of the novel

In order to find a way to cure Shi Hao who had a weak body, his parents search for his grandfather then went to find medicine themselves, they escape from their exile (show in earlier episodes) and then went to a higher realm to seek help from Shi Hao's mother's clan, the Qin Clan who was part of the Immortal Mountain. Shi Hao discovers that they were there and went to find them, but because of the arrogance of Immortal Mountain, Shi Hao destroys them.
It turns out that his parents were in a higher realm still in the lower realm they went to his mother's clan for help but they refused. They then imprisoned them, one of the reason is because she married a low realm person. They then had another child, called Qin Hao, the Qin Clan decides to raise him as a protege, and by holding onto his parents, they are assured of Qin Hao's loyalty to the clan, not that it really mattered since he was brainwashed by the clan into thinking he is Shi Hao's replacement and raised to "save" him, if you thought Shi Yi was bad, wait til you really see his brother

Shi Hao eventually finds his parents and releases them, he also makes enemies out of the Qin Clan, and a faction within the clan sent assassins to kill him in secret, as Shi Hao's mother still wields some influence within the clan, long story short, Shi Hao kills everyone that goes at him and Qin Clan is eventually "cleansed", those people responsible for trying to kill him were put to death by the Clan as a way to appease Shi Hao (he became quite the terror in the higher realm)

I was about to ask the same thing...like his parents abandoned him like that and are just going on with life with their second son. But you've answered that thought

I wouldnt worry about it too much, his parents still loves Shi Hao, and they do go back to Stone Village to live there for a while. That is when the fun begins, as in when his mother wants Shi Hao to marry or at the very least have a concubine. In regards to the relationship between Shi Hao and Shi Yi and Qin Hao, just take it as sibling rivalry, and not as deadly enemies where one has to die and the other will live, the relationship becomes comical later on, kinda like who's got the biggest epeen when dealing with people who wants to kill them But remember although the donghua is following the novel, there are some changes. Like the recent episodes shows more of Huo Ling'er than what was in the novel, and I mean a lot more
By bad when I described the brother Qin Hao, I mean he sided more with the Qin Clan than Shi Hao, believing the Qin Clan, even to the point of almost not listening to their parents, until Shi Hao does something that makes him change his mind

The Layered Pupil Girl can easily be considered Omnipresent, Omniscience and Omnipotent in an even lower Universe than Shi Hao's realm for example our Universe.
